WhatsApp’s disappearing messages come to iOS

The beta version is available on Testflight

WhatsApp introduces deleted messages and iOS media after uninstalling the feature on Android in June, according to WABetaInfo.

Beta version is available in Testflight. Updates will allow users to post hurtful messages, photos, and videos after viewing. Users will be able to see the timer icon.

The sender will be notified when the media is watching the recipient. However, users can take screenshots without the sender being notified. In addition, Users can not let the sender be notified once the media has been monitored for WABetaInfo reports.

WhatsApp hopes to improve the quality and privacy of chats in the app as users consider jumping into competing apps. WhatsApp has lost millions of followers after announcing its new terms of service that allow parent company Facebook and its categories to collect user information, including phone numbers and location.

While WhatsApp stopped introducing the update due to the use of backlash, it later decided to proceed with the new privacy policy. However, users are encouraged to read it “at their own pace” and WhatsApp will also display an ad that provides more details.
