Pakistan Launches Covid Vaccine App To Carry ‘Digital Certificate’
Using QR Code, a digital certificate can be verified immediately, says NCOC
The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) in collaboration with the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) has launched the ‘Pak Covid-19 Vaccination Pass App’
The application is designed to help people manage their Covid-19 vaccination certificates.
The app allows users to download the Covid vaccine certificate issued by Nadra and save it to the phone.
The digital certificate is the official proof of the Covid-19 vaccine, required for domestic and international travel.
Using a QR Code, a digital certificate can be authenticated immediately.
NCOC earlier this week announced that the full Covid-19 vaccination certificates will be mandatory to fly after September 10.
Pakistan’s neurological response center has also taken a major decision to speed up the nationwide vaccination process.
The forum announced that the prescribed vaccination certificate would go into effect after September 10 “and all provinces have been notified of this decision”.
The interval between the first and second doses of all vaccines has been reduced from 42 days to 28 days, the forum added.
The decision was made in consultation with the Department of Health and medical experts, it said.
Earlier this month, the NCOC also announced that only vaccinated people would not be allowed to travel by train from October 1.
